Wrought iron stair rails. The “Bird” Banister was made for a private home in Granada, Spain. The bird motif is an interpretation of poetry written in Arabic calligraphy. The rest of the stair rail was designed accordingly using forms present in Moorish artwork in this part of Spain. As with all of Adam’s wrought iron stair rails it was designed and produced after a lengthy consultation with the client ensuring their satisfaction with this extravagant and original addition to their home.

Wrought iron gate. This is the entrance gate to a private finca in Granada Province, Spain. It was made using blacksmith’s techniques such as riveting and punching holes in the hot iron. Adam designed this wrought iron gate in a “traditional” style with its straight vertical bars but with an original twist in its curved interwoven top and heavy scroll work. This helped soften the gate's lines and let it blend into the countryside of southern Spain. If you would like more details about his bespoke wrought iron gates, please contact Adam Hayes.

Stained Glass Panel. Produced for a private home in Granada, Spain. This panel is set in an archway of a cloistered seating area looking out onto the garden and swimming pool. It forms a beautiful divide between these two areas providing a screen but also letting the sounds and the smells of the garden through. The light coming through the stained glass also makes wonderful patterns on the walls!

Other commissions in wrought iron. The design of this wrought iron gate is based on a piece of Charles Rennie Mackingtosh glasswork. The gate has glass inserts and was produced in order to replace a set of garage doors and allow the garage to be transformed into a “patio interior” seating area. The hanging flower baskets were made to look like grape vines and are set at the entrance of a vineyard. The wrought iron railings run along the front of a lovely old mill – Adam also made window grills for the mill and these also have flower motifs. All these pieces were made for private clients in Granada, Spain.
